Rubi ate the Fig – an original fusion of Rock and Middle-Eastern music featuring accomplished musicians from both genres, with luminous vocals and ecstatic lyrics floating over a driving desert bedrock. Rubi ate the Fig is produced by band member Marc Mann (George Harrison, ELO, Oingo Boingo) and composer, Sharon Eliashar. Sharon has spent many years visiting the Bedouins of the Sinai, and her lyrics are inspired by her time with the Bedouins. “Mahavishnu and The Police traveling through the Desert – stopping to have tea with Grace Slick”.
Bringing together master musicians from both the Middle-Eastern and Western traditions, Rubi Ate the Fig is an exquisite collaboration resulting in a rare synthesis of musical styles, with inspirational mystical lyrics that tell the story of the Desert. Our exquisite exotic sets and undeniable music transport the listener to another world!!

Marc Mann is plays guitar, and keyboards, and does arrangements and orchestrations for TV and film. Projects and artists Marc has worked with include: The Beatles (Anthology), George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Electric Light Orchestra, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oingo Boingo, Neil Young, Sheryl Crow, Kenny Loggins, System of A Down, Madonna, Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand, John Fogerty, Dan Fogelberg, and many other great artists. Marc had the honor of performing at the Royal Albert Hall for the GeORge Harrison Tribute Concert, and appears in the DVD “Concert for George”.
