The music of Dan Hicks returns to The Fenix with the Hot Licks to deliver his special brand of wry musings to the masses. Mixed with Dan’s classic tunes, I Scare Myself, Where’s The Money?, How Can I Miss You When You Won’t Go Away?, and Canned Music, will be several of his sly holiday originals, My Main Man Santa and A Yule That’s Cool. Hicks’ songwriting infuses the steady 4/4 guitar swing of Django Reinhardt with the lyrical wit of Fats Waller and the country blues of Jimmy Rogers. Dan calls it “folk swing,” but whatever you call it, it’s finger-pickin’ fun. And don’t forget about his classic Christmas album, Crazy for Christmas.
